There are business breakfasts you attend and then there are mornings that touch your soul. Not just business but soul work.Specially and carefully curated moments of power, inspiration and connection for Women not forgetting the Brotherhood.
A few weeks ago AWCA KZN and Sisterhood Connect came together to host one of those rare mornings.Women Thriving Together: A full morning business breakfast that evolved into day was as intentional as it was beautiful and remarkably well attended. From the very start, the room carried a defining energy. This wasn’t just networking. This was about community, elevation and upliftment.
Hosted and led by Bawinile Gwala Chairperson of AWCA KZN and us Sisterhood Connect. The day brought together powerful forces such as BDO our venue sponsor and Volvo coming onboard as partners, alongside other women-led businesses and service providers who showed up to build, not just to be seen. The heartbeat of the morning was our key address by the one & only Dr. Sindi Mabaso-Koyana.
She didn’t just deliver a speech. She gave us a blueprint, one which must be a Masterclass adaptation (we are working on that). A blueprint for why Women must support Women. For why we must speak each other’s names in rooms we’re not in.
For creating spaces where women feel safe, seen and propelled to thrive. Her words were honest, grounding and liberating a powerful reminder that our success is collective and essential.
Our panel conversation led with brilliance by Thembalethu Shange deepened the conversation with Joanne Philip and Mohale representing the brotherhood, we spoke about what it truly takes to thrive together as Women without neglecting the Men who walk with us by sharing their experiences. The vulnerability was priceless. The authenticity just sublime.
What made this breakfast different is that it didn’t end at business. It spoke to homes, communities and legacy building. It was a call-up. Not for fun, not for optics but for purpose. In a World that often pits Women against each other,Women Thriving Together reminds us that our power multiplies when we rise together as Queens & Sisters.
Thank you to every Woman who showed up, shared and chose to be part of this intentional partnership. What a special thing we have started. Our communities will heal, restore and rise when we all understand our influence and the power of Women Thriving Together.
