There are seasons in life that ask us to grow. Then there are seasons that ask us to surrender.
The journey to motherhood has asked me to do both. For much of my life, I believed growth would always be visible. It would look like milestones, promotions, new ventures and dreams coming to life. And while those moments remain deeply meaningful, nothing transforms you quite like carrying life.
Pregnancy introduced me to a version of myself I had never met before. One that moved slower, listened deeper and learned to have boundaries with lots of tears ( crying while pregnant has been so intense, I cry about everything). It reminded me that some of life’s greatest work happens quietly, long before anyone else can see it.
It also taught me about grit.
Not the kind that demands you push through at all costs, but the kind that invites you to trust. To keep showing up when your body is changing, when your emotions are unfamiliar and when the future feels both beautiful and uncertain. Grit I discovered is not always loud, sometimes it looks like choosing faith over fear and presence over perfection. What a journey!!!!
Here is the part I didn’t expect, giving life has completely changed the way I see womanhood. Everything about me and what I do is for woman but this has deepened my admiration for women. Those raising children, nurturing dreams, rebuilding after disappointment, leading with compassion or simply finding the courage to begin again. Every woman knows something about carrying. Some carry babies, others carry hope, purpose, responsibility or healing. Every journey deserves to be honoured.
This season has reminded me that growth is rarely comfortable but it is always transformative. It asks us to release who we are so we can become who we are meant to be.
As I enter this new chapter of motherhood, I find myself embracing a softer definition of success. One measured not only by what I achieve but by the love I cultivate, the peace I protect and the legacy I leave behind. I’m learning that life is not always about what we accomplish, sometimes it is about embracing each season with love and gentleness.
If there is one thing I hope you take from these pages, it is this: never underestimate the beauty of your own unfolding. Whether you are nurturing a child, rebuilding your heart, pursuing a dream or simply choosing yourself again, trust that every season is preparing you for the next. Nothing is wasted.
May you continue to grow with intention, hold on with quiet grit and give life to everything placed within you.
